PAN-CINEMA PERMANENTE
A film by Carlos Nader, Brazil-SP, 2008, 83 min.

A documentary about Waly Salomão, a poet from Bahia, a man who believed that life was a fiction film. For Waly, poetry is a daily tool for unmasking any pretension of naturalism. This strong belief has deeply influenced his friends, such as the poet Antonio Cícero, the musician Caetano Veloso, and the director of this documentary, Carlos Nader, who documented Waly’s life for nearly15 years. But how can one make a documentary about someone who belived that everything was fiction?
