TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE

This documentary denounces the torture practiced by the North-American army in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guatanamo. The starting point is the torture and death of an innocent Afghan taxi driver who had been imprisoned by local military leaders, and who died in Bagram Air Base as a consequence of injuries caused by North-American soldiers.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Alex Gibney graduated at Yale University, and also went to the School of Cinema and Television, UCLA. He opened the production company Jigsaw Pictures, through which he produced and directed various documentaries, independent films and television series, including Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) and the more recent Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson (2008). This film won the Oscar for the Best Documentary in 2008.
