HARAT
A film by Sepideh Farsi, Iran/France/Afghanistan, 2007, 85 min.
Original version with Portuguese subtitles.

Leaving Paris, moviemaker Sepideh Farsi and her 8-year-old daughter travel to Iran to meet the grandfather and from there to go to Afghanistan. They have dreamt much about but never visited this country since the grandfather left to establish himself in Teheran. Traveling by air, train or land, they find sceneries, villages, voices and faces. Farsi films her daughter and her father, making a diary-film as a family album that unfolds for the spectator.
