About the director J.P. Sniadecki was born on a farm in Michigan, studied at Harvard, teaches at Cornell University, but worked and filmed in China for several years. He has screened films in venues such as the Guggenheim, MoMA in New York and festivals such as the Berlinale. His movies are charged with anthropological and ethnographic undertones, forming a full landscape of the modern China.
